Over the years, I have had the privilege of working alongside some exceptional wedding professionals across the Western Cape. Dennehof is a peaceful wedding venue in Villiersdorp, Western Cape set in a beautiful valley with gardens, mountain views, and views over the pond and Theewaterskloof Dam. It’s a calm, down-to-earth space that really suits couples who want a meaningful day without the fuss. There’s the sweet white iron chapel for ceremonies and a warm, rustic reception space (a renovated stable with modern finishes), plus on-site farm-style accommodation so you can settle in and enjoy the weekend.
I’ve photographed several weddings at Dennehof, and because it’s the closest venue to where I live, it’s a place I know really well. It’s genuinely one of my favourites, not just for how it looks, but for how relaxed it feels on the day. And Maricia, the owner, is truly wonderful, calm, organised, and so generous with her time. She helps a lot with the planning and she genuinely loves assisting with décor, which makes the whole process feel easier and more personal.

Die Woud is a serene forest wedding venue in Caledon, Overberg (Western Cape), nestled among towering wattle trees and established oak trees, with a stream nearby that makes the whole space feel calm and tucked away. Couples can say their vows in the venue’s signature “open-air church” under the trees, then move into a beautifully lit reception setup (including a clear glass marquee option) that still feels connected to nature. With space for up to 140 guests, in-house catering, and accommodation options managed by the venue (on site getting ready location), Die Woud is a solid choice for couples wanting a relaxed, nature-filled celebration in the Western Cape that produce some of the best photos.

Alluvia Boutique Winery is a scenic Stellenbosch wedding venue in the Banhoek Valley on the Helshoogte Pass, with big mountain views and a calm, tucked-away feel that makes a wedding weekend feel easy and unhurried. Alongside the restaurant and marquee options, they also have a beautiful private deck above the dam, which is a stunning spot for intimate moments and smaller gatherings. Beuld
Beuld is a modern, contemporary wedding venue in Robertson, Western Cape, set in the heart of the Breede Valley with wide-open views of the Langeberg mountains. It’s a great fit if you want a stylish space that still feels relaxed and easy, with both indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception options and a clean, uncluttered look that photographs beautifully.
One of the biggest wins is how simple it is to turn your wedding into a full weekend. Beuld offers on-site accommodation (including their Cellar District pods) and additional nearby options, so your people can stay close and you can actually slow down and enjoy it. They also offer in-house coordination and planning support (the Owners, Braam and Riaan are just fantastic), which helps the day run smoothly without you having to hold it all in your head
